Wild Frontier will launch at 1pm EST (10am PST), and will be priced at 950 Apex Coins, or $9.50. Alternatively, you can purchase the Battle Pass Bundle for 2,800 Apex Coins, and gain access to the battle pass and instantly unlock the next 25 levels in Wild Frontier. The new battle pass will also allow you to have instant access to the Lifeline Revolutionary, Wraith Survivor and Mirage Outlaw skins.
No matter if you choose to obtain the Wild Frontier Battle Pass or not, you can earn a number of free rewards including 5 Apex Packs and 18 Wild Frontier Stat Trackers. In total, there are over 100 unique items that can be earned in Wild Frontier.
It should also be mentioned that a new character, Octavio “Octane” Silva, will be launched tomorrow alongside the Wild Frontier Battle Pass. Octane will be available as a separate purchase (he’s not included in the battle pass) at a cost of 750 Apex Coins. He has unlimited Stim health supplies and has an “Adrenaline Junkie” ability for sustained speed boosts.
“You’ll notice the first version isn’t built around a complex quest system where you need to do a 720 backflip off of Watchtower Artemis and get two Wingman headshots before hitting the ground,” said Respawn community manager Jay Freschette via reddit. “While we think there’s really cool design space in quests and challenges for future Battle Passes, we wanted the initial version to allow our players to just play and learn the game.”
While Wild Frontier is the first battle pass for 2019, there are three others planned for launch later this year. According to the previously-announced roadmap, we should expect three more landing in June, September and December.
