Ubisoft's Watch Dogs Poised To Bite Down May 27th

At long last, Watch Dogs appears ready to pounce on previous and current generation game consoles, along with our favorite platform, the PC. After a trailer of the upcoming game leaked to the web, Ubisoft has come out and confirmed that Watch Dogs will launch around the world on My 27, 2014, to the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. Wii U gamers will get to take Watch Dogs out for a walk as well, but it will be at a later date.

Ubisoft confirmed the launch a few hours ago on the Twitter account it set up for Watch Dogs. The game takes place in a fictional version of Chicago, Illinois, putting you in control of Aiden Pearce, a skilled hacker who is able to break into people's mobile phones and other electronic devices. It's an open world action-adventure game that's been in development since 2009 and was one of Ubisoft's two delayed titles last year. Take a look at the trailer:

"We are pleased to be able to reveal to gamers all over the world the new release date for Watch Dogs," said Geoffroy Sardin, EMEA Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft. "We are extremely confident that the additional time we afforded the dev team to refine and polish the game will be more than worth the wait."
