Bethesda is ending its '12 Days of Bethesda' sweepstakes with a bang by giving away a couple of custom game consoles. Users who decide to throw their name in the hat can win a Fallout 76 Tricentennial Xbox One X or a Wolftenstein II-themed Nintendo Switch. However, today is the last day to enter, if you haven't already. As with most contests these days, the 12 Days of Bethesda sweepstakes is a social media campaign, and you'll need a Twitter account to enter. For the Fallout 76 Xbox One X, you need to follow @Fallout and retweet this post. Likewise, the Wolfenstein II Nintendo Switch giveaway requires following @Wolfenstein and retweeting this tweet. On the second-to-last day of #12DaysofBethesda,... Read more...
There are two camps when it comes to FPS titles today, there are those who are only in it for the multiplayer action and those who only want a sweet and long single player campaign and story line because getting fragged by foul-mouthed trash-talkers online ruins the fun (or maybe that's just me). It's only been a few days now since Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launched, but the game has no multiplayer aspects offering only a single player story mode. To that end, the game has already been beaten and beaten in quick fashion.  A speedrunner called DraQ has set the first official world record for beating the game at 1:19:16 (just shy of 80 mins), including sitting through the cut-scenes... Are you ready to "Make America Nazi-Free Again"? Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on Friday for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows, and the game has already drawn a lot of controversy for the aforementioned slogan and its rather brutal and risqué trailers. However, all that fans of the Wolfenstein franchise want to know is what kind of hardware will they need to starting curb-stomping some Nazi bad guys? Well, Bethesda and MachineGames have released the system requirements for Wolfenstein II, and it appears that you won't need to have a burly system to be able to enjoy the game at high detail settings. Here’s what you’ll need to get up and running: Minimum CPU: Intel Core i7-3770/AMD... Read more...
For so many reasons, Wolfenstein II looks to be a fantastic new addition to the classic game series, and as such, publisher Bethesda has pushed its advertising and promotional effort hard. As the company is quickly finding out, however, even if you think an advertising campaign provides a bulletproof message, you're may still to have to deal with backlash, especially if it also pushes the envelope a bit. In this particular case, Bethesda published a trailer that held back no punches, stating: "Make America Nazi-Free Again." Blunt? Incredibly. Unfortunately, white supremacist and Nazi-related subjects have been prominent in the US news recently, while some people have related President Trump to... Read more...
We got our first taste of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus earlier this year at E3 when a trailer was released for the highly anticipated game. As the follow-up to 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order, Wolfenstein II: New Colossus sees the American spirit paralyzed, as the Nazi's scored a decisive victory during World War II and have extended their dominion to the United States. If the first trailer wasn't enough to get you pumped, then this new gameplay trailer will definitely get you in the mood for some Nazi curb stomping. However, let’s first set the stage, courtesy of developer Bethesda: They've turned Manhattan into a wasteland. They’ve walled off New Orleans and are systematically purging... Read more...

Some things just never seem to get old. You know, things like watching the New England Patriots win the Super Bowl or cracking open a beer from a boat while fishing. It is a long list, and if we turn our attention to PC gaming, you can add killing Nazis to it. In case you need a fix in that department, Bethesda promises plenty of action in Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the first trailer of which was revealed at E3. Bethesda teased a sequel to 2014's Wolfenstein: The New Order at last year's E3, but waited until now to make a formal reveal. This latest entry in the series follows The New Order along with its 2015 prequel Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. Like those two previous games, The New Colossus... Read more...
