ROCCAT announced the Savu, a hybrid mid-sized gaming mouse, which ROCCAT CEO René Korte calls “The planet’s premiere mid-size gaming mouse – period”. The rest of the press release is just as effusive, but the Savu does boast some serious features. For starters, the mouse has true 400, 800, 1600 and 4000 DPI, as well as an R3 sensor and Omron switches. With Easy-Shift[+] technology, users can assign two functions to each mouse button for expanded capabilities, and it also provides a sniper mode for better headshot accuracy. Don't sweat it if you've never heard of Roccat Studios. Based out of Germany and focused on gaming peripherals, Roccat Studios has only recently begun making a push into the U.S. market, where it will go up against established entities like Razer and Logitech. One of the products it plans to take with it into battle is its Savu gaming mouse.
