PUBG Corp has been surprisingly quiet amid so many games hitting mobile devices, PC, and consoles that focus on very similar Battle Royale modes that it made so popular. So far all that PUBG Corp has done is rail against Epic Games' Fortnite for conflict of interest. That has changed with PUBG Corp. filing suit against a couple mobile games for iOS devices that were published by NetEase. The two games named in the suit are Rules of Survival and Knives Out. The suit was filed in the Northern California U.S. District Court. Both NetEase games have up to 100 players parachuting onto an island. The battles focus on fighting within safe zones that constantly shrink while using military-grade... Read more...
PUBG gamers have a new map to look forward to that is in testing right now. That new PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds map is called Codename: Savage and it is notably different in setting and size than other maps available for the game. The Savage map is much smaller than other maps measuring in at 4km x 4km compared to the 8km x 8 km size of other maps in the game. It's also set in a tropical jungle location. Playerunknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) has turned out to be a massive hit for the developers and it is one of the most popular games in the world right now. Currently, the game is only offered on Steam for PC gamers, but a console version is in the works. PUBG recently passed 1.5 million concurrent users on Steam, which put it at over one hundred thousand more concurrent players that Valve's own Dota 2 free-to-play game has been able to rack up. Dota 2 hit its concurrent player record of 1,291,320 in March of 2016 and hasn't surpassed that record since them. In the history of Steam, only Dota 2 and PUBG have passed the million concurrent player mark. PUBG's latest record is a huge gain compared to... Read more...

The game is still in Steam Early Access mode meaning it hasn't even seen its full, official launch yet and it is already incredibly popular. This week marked an official update for PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds (PUBG) and this update brought something totally new to the third-person shooter. To supplement the traditional third-person view of the game, the update has added in first-person servers. That means in those servers you have to play through the game using the first-person view, which eliminates some of the player's ability to see what is going on around them. While in the normal...
