Nintendo has done something very cool with the Switch giving gamers of all ages the ability to build cardboard concoctions that can be used to control video games and software. We've seen a few of the Labo controllers so far including a motorcycle controller that could be used to control Mario Kart. Nintendo's third Labo kit has now been announced and it is something that fans of Mario Kart may find to be very appealing. The name of the kit is Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit and it sells for $69.99 and will launch September 14. Nintendo has been peddling the slick Labo cardboard builders set since early this year and it has proven to be popular. Labo allows gamers young and old to build very cool cardboard creations that can be used as interactive controllers for video games played on the Switch. Nintendo is now announcing that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is getting a free update that will allow gamers to use the Toy-Con Motorbike from the Labo: Variety Kit to control their kart. The Nintendo Switch is already a unique console because of its hybrid design, which allows gamers to plop the system into a dock and play games on their big screen TV, or use it as a mobile system and game on the go. It's also proven highly popular, with Nintendo having to crank up production to meet demand. Even so, the Switch is about to become even more unique and potentially more popular once Nintendo rolls out its cardboard Labo kits in April. At $70 (and up) a pop, are they worth it? A series of new Nintendo Labo videos have turned up that highlight what exactly gamers will be able to do once they build their cardboard creations. The catch here is that while Nintendo has put the videos up in English on its main Labo page, Nintendo of America hasn't yet put up YouTube embeds. Both Nintendo Japan and Nintendo France have YouTube versions up that you can watch embedded here; the video is the same though it's just not in English.
