The Coalition and Xbox have announced that the game Gears 5 has gone gold ahead of its launch next month. The game going gold is a big deal for the developers as it means that the game disc has been released to manufacturing so everyone can play it on September 6. The developers say that Gears 5 is as far as they have ever taken the franchise. The game offers five ways to play and is hailed as the biggest entry in the Gears of War franchise. Someone on Walmart's web team in Canada seems to have screwed the pooch and revealed a massive number of unreleased and, in some cases, unannounced games, many of which are expected to make a debut at E3 next month. Whether all of the listings are real or not remains to be seen, though judging by some of the responses by game developers affected by the leak, at least some of them appear to be legitimate.
