Gears 5 Goes Gold As Devs Unveil Full Achievement List

The Coalition and Xbox have announced that the game Gears 5 has gone gold ahead of its launch next month. The game going gold is a big deal for the developers as it means that the game disc has been released to manufacturing so everyone can play it on September 6. The developers say that Gears 5 is as far as they have ever taken the franchise.

The game offers five ways to play and is hailed as the biggest entry in the Gears of War franchise. Gears 5 offers a Campaign mode, Versus mode, Horde, Escape, and a mode for building your own maps. Another hallmark of the game is that it will support crossplay across all modes on Xbox, Windows 10, and Steam.

Gears 5 also supports the Adaptive Controller and will be available on the day the game launches to the public for Xbox Game Pass. Devs will be showing off the Gears 5 Horde mode on Monday, August 19, at 5:00 pm CEST. The Gears 5 campaign story trailer will be unveiled at gamescom opening night at 8 pm CEST.

Along with celebrating the game going gold, the developers are also offering up the entire list of achievements for the game. Players can add to their Gamerscore across 71 achievements spanning Campaign, Escape, Versus, Horde, and Map Builder. The full achievement list can be found here.

The hardest of the challenges offered in the achievements list is to complete Insane Campaign, Master Horde & Escape Launch Maps & Characters, Get 20 Re-Ups, and reach General in a tour of duty. Players that can do all that will get 100 points added to their Gamerscore. The game launches September 10 on Xbox and PC, early access for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members and Gears 5 Ultimate Edition buyers starts September 6.
