Here it is, folks. General Motors just released the first official image of the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, minus camouflage. The car won't make its official debut until October 23rd, but GM decided to release this single image to appease car enthusiasts excited about what will be the most powerful C8 Corvette. Well, the most powerful Corvette until the arrival of the inevitable ZR-1. From what we can tell, GM's designers didn't mess too much for the design formula of the standard Corvette Stingray (which we think is a good thing). Car folks were already excited about the mid-engine C8 Corvette that is still a few months from landing in showrooms around the country. The enthusiast thinking about grabbing up a base C8 when it launches might want to hold off because some rumors about the C8 Z06 are making the rounds and it sounds like a road missile. According to the rumor, the car will get a twin-turbo V8 engine that is based on the Cadillac CT6-V's engine. In Corvette trim the engine would certainly wind up with some LT designation, likely the LT7 moniker. Rumors peg the twin-turbo V8 to produce a massive 800 horsepower and at least 700 pound-feet of torque. The current Corvette Z06 is making 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet... Read more...

Cadillac isn’t about to let Dodge hog the spotlight when it comes to high-powered, German slaying hyper sedans; so today it’s launching its third generation CTS-V and it sure is a beauty. The 2016 CTS-V is all about the engine, and Cadillac couldn’t have picked a better donor vehicle than the Chevrolet Corvette Z06. That means that you’ll find the 6.2-liter LT4 V8 producing 640 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque (down 10 horsepower and 20 lb-ft from the... Read more...
If you've got the cash, and are looking to make a splash, then you are in luck. Chevrolet has unveiled the new 2015 Corvette Z06 and it looks amazing. Replacing the previous generation of ZR1s, the new Z06 is Chevy’s most powerful version in the car’s history. It has a supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, making it more powerful than the Jaguar F-Type R, the Dodge SRT Viper, and the Porsche 911 Carrera S. It's not quite as powerful as the new Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat but we're talking ridiculous power here, regardless. But if you are worried about how this little beauty can handle the curves, Chevy has got you covered. The Corvette... Read more...
