Call of Duty (CoD) Mobile has set a major record with the best launch ever for any mobile game. CoD Mobile reportedly generated 100 million downloads combined worldwide according to Sensor Tower Store Intelligence estimates for its first week. CoD Mobile has surpassed all other mobile games, including Mario Kart Tour, which had 90 Million downloads its first week. CoD Mobile destroyed the records set by its fellow shooter mobile versions. The mobile version of Fortnite recorded 22.5 million downloads its first week as an App Store exclusive, and PUBG Mobile had 28 million downloads its first week. Activision announced it is bringing its popular Call of Duty franchise over to smartphones and tablets with a new free-to-player version appropriately called Call of Duty: Mobile. It appears as though Tencent Games is in charge of the mobile experience, which will feature online multiplayer matches on "iconic maps," including the popular Nuketown map.
