Both Dell and Alienware have declined to comment on the issue, but rumor has it Dell plans to acquire enthusiast PC builder Alienware. Alienware currently uses AMD CPUs in their builds, while Dell continues to use Intel, so it'll be interesting to see what happens if this turns out to be more than just a rumor. It appears as though Voodoo PC's Rahul Sood and the folks at the Inquirer are developing a small gambling problem as their latest wager has been posted online. Here, the two ponder the possibilities of Dell eventually buying out the boutique PC vendor Alienware. Having some considerable experience with both companies, I would be absolutely shocked were this to ever happen.
