Vista Delayed and Microsoft Express Upgrade Program
Digitimes is reporting that Microsoft has delayed Windows Vista RTM (Release to Manufacturing) by approximately two weeks. The original RTM release was slated for the fourth week in October but now it appears that has been pushed back until the second week of November. In addition to the delay, Microsoft announced their Express Upgrade Program for users purchasing systems with Windows XP and/or Microsoft Office. Users who purchase systems with XP on them between October 26, 2006 and March 15, 2007 are eligible for a free Express Upgrade to Windows Vista. The same applies for users purchasing systems pre-installed with Office 2003, they too will be eligible for a free Express Upgrade to Office 2007. For additional information on the Express Upgrade program, hop over to the official Microsoft site or check the Washington Post.
