Verizon Wireless Gets HTC Touch Pro2

Well that certainly didn’t take long. Just days after Sprint got the hot new HTC Touch Pro2, Verizon Wireless is announcing that it too will carry the phone. Like the Sprint version, Verizon’s variant will feature a 3.6-inch WVGA variable-angle tilting touch screen and a slide-out keyboard that is larger than its Touch Pro predecessor. In terms of connectivity, the Touch Pro2 supports EVDO Rev. A and Wi-Fi. The phone also offers global connectivity.

As you may recall, the Touch Pro2 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and the TouchFLO user interface. Other key specifications and features include:

The HTC Touch Pro2 will be available today for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate with a new two-year customer agreement on a qualifying plan.
