Toshiba’s Detachable Satellite Click Laptop, Windows 8.1 Tablet, and Small Satellite Laptop Debut
Toshiba Satellite Click
The Satellite Click continues a trend we’ve been seeing toward devices that are built to be laptops but with detachable displays that then function as standalone tablets. The 13.3-inch device has an IPS multitouch display and runs on an AMD A4 APU with Radeon 800 graphics. It also features a 500GB hard drive and a dual battery design, and it will run Windows 8.1.

Toshiba also announced a small, 8-inch (1280x800 LCD, 5-point multitouch) tablet called the Encore that will run Windows 8.1 and has an Intel Atom processor with InstantGo technology, Intel Gen 7 graphics, 2GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, 8MP rear/2MP front cameras, stereo speakers, and dual microphones with beam-forming. The Encore includes GPS and micro-USB 2.0, micro-HDMI, micro-SD, WiFi, Bluetooth, and a 3.5mm mic/headphone jack. The Encore will be available in November for $329.99.

The laptop has a multitouch display and runs on a dual-core Intel Celeron N2810 processor, with 500GB of storage. It’s launching at the same time as the Encore and will cost just $379.99.
