Microsoft and Taco Bell are teaming up again to both fill hungry tummies and satiate a need for gaming. Starting on Thursday, October 17, Taco Bell patrons who order a $5 Double Chalupa Box will have a chance to win an Xbox One X Eclipse console, Xbox Elite Series 2 wireless controller, and a six-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership.
The promotion runs until November 23. It's claimed the tantalizing prize bundle will be given away every 10 minutes on average, which adds up to a bazillion consoles (or something like that—math was never my strong suit).
This is far from the first time Microsoft and Taco Bell have collaborated on a giveaway (Taco Bell has also partnered with Sony for a PlayStation 4 giveaway in the past).
"Taco Bell and Xbox have continued to raise the bar through our partnership, and this year we're excited to give fans even more ways to become a winner," said Tracee Larocca, Senior Vice President of Brand Experience at Taco Bell. "Whether fans are unboxing their Double Chalupa boxes or the new Xbox One X Eclipse Bundle, this is yet another opportunity for us to give them a one of a kind experience."
As with the previous Xbox One X giveaway, the Eclipse model will play Taco Bell's iconic ring at startup. Taco Bell is also promising to deliver the prize bundle to doorsteps "in as early as 48 hours after completing registration and receipt of verification," marking the "fastest delivery time yet in the history of this campaign."
The timing of the promotion comes as Microsoft is getting ready to release its Elite Series 2 controller—it lands on retail shelves on November 4. That means some lucky winners will actually get their mitts on the controller before it comes out to the public at large. For everyone else, the controller is available to preorder for $179.99.
You can check out the fine print on Taco Bell's website. Good luck to anyone who enters!
