Super Talent Ships UltraDrive ME / LE SSDs

Last we heard from Super Talent, it was busy offering up SSD upgrades for the stunning Asus S101. Now, the company is busy shipping out a load of solid state drives for the rest of us. Starting today, prospective buyers can get their hands on a tracking number for one of the many UltraDrive ME / UltraDrive LE drives.

As of now (right now!), the company's 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB UltraDrive LE and 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB UltraDrive ME are immediately available in production volumes. In case you're wondering -- and we know you are -- the former is rated for a maximum sequential read speed of 230MB/sec and a maximum sequential write speed of 170MB/sec, while the latter family is rated for a maximum sequential read speed of 200MB/sec and a maximum sequential write speed of 160MB/sec. Internal testing has also shown Sequential Read IOPS of over 13,000, Sequential Write IOPS of nearly 16,000, Random Read IOPS of nearly 7,500 and Random Write IOPS of nearly 6,000. Of note, the UltraDrive LE comes with a 3-year warranty while the UltraDrive ME gets stuck with just a 2-year warranty.
