Samsung's Galaxy S27 series is a few months out from public release, but if you can't wait, we've gathered some leaks and renders for the top dog Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra. As a reminder, the following are teasers and there's no guarantee any or all will make final production.
Perhaps the biggest change for the upcoming generation is the redesign of the rear camera assembly. Supply chain insiders are whispering the idea that Samsung could be dropping the floating camera look and going with a camera bump that's thicker and more rectangular, projecting outward by 4.69mm (according to leaker Ice Universe). The raised housing isn't for an arbitrary reason either; the added volume is reportedly meant to accommodate a new ISOCELL HP6 primary and upgraded periscope telephoto.
As the camera island grows in size, Samsung has balanced things out by allegedly slimming down the front bezels even further, shrinking to an impressive 1.28mm (behind the OnePlus 16's 1.15mm, but still marginally ahead of the Galaxy S26 Ultra's 1.32mm). Pairing with this is a possible new AMOLED display tech that reduces eye strain during long media sessions.

On the performance front, we might see a stronger Exynos presence this time. As we recently reported, Samsung has seemingly made major inroads with the Exynos 2700 whereby early factory benchmarking is showing superior numbers against the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Of course, the company has promised great things for its in-house chips before and fell short IRL, so we'll see.
Another couple of floating rumors relate to how the S27 Ultra will have more internal volume carved out and its internals redesigned to house a larger capacity battery (and with it, faster charging speeds), an area where Samsung has fallen behind global competition, outside of Apple and Google. That said, could the extra space also mean a surprise return of the S-Pen? Most don't think so, but again—you never know.
The Galaxy S27 series could get a price hike when it is announced in early 2027. At launch, the Galaxy S26 Ultra started at $1,299, although this month Samsung hiked the price to $1,399. It would be cool if the next generation is grandfathered into the same price, but with memory and market realities the way they are, it is possible the phone could begin at $1,499.
