Rumors Suggest Droid 4 And Galaxy Nexus Will Debut On December 8
Yesterday, we told you about the HOT new upcoming DROID smartphone, the Droid 4. Now, new details are surfacing that suggest this new phone (which hasn't even been formally announced) could be available as early as next week.
According to Droid-Life, the DROID 4 could make its debut on December 8. Another HOT new smartphone, the Galaxy Nexus, is also said to be launching on the 8th. Coincidentally, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime is also pegged for a release on the same day.
As you may recall, the DROID 4 has similar specifications as the recently released Droid RAZR. Key differences include a slide-out keyboard and slightly smaller 4-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display on the DROID 4.
Although we're not too surprised that Verizon Wireless could be launching some new phones in December, it is a bit odd that we haven't heard an official word from Verizon Wireless or Motorola about the existence of the Droid 4, especially when this suggested release date is just ten days away.
We knew the much-anticipated Galaxy Nexus would be coming to Verizon Wireless sometime this year, and the latest we had heard suggested a release date yet this month. Although no dates have been confirmed either way, these new rumors suggest the date has been pushed back. Thankfully, even this new date suggests customers should be able to get their hands on the Galaxy Nexus soon.
