Rockstar Games Updates Grand Theft Auto V With Patriotic Independence Day Content
Naturally no GTA V update would be complete without new weapons, and this one brings them in a form of a high-powered Musket and a Firework Rocket Launcher. It also introduces four types of fireworks that can be purchased at Ammu-Nation, each of which come in three colors -- red, white, and blue (what else?).
This is really only the tip of the long-neck beer bottle. Also included are more than 40 new Independence holiday-theme clothing items, a new Parachute Smoke color, new tire smoke color, a dozen new animal masks, four new horns that are part of the Star Spangled Banner song, Stars-n-Stripes face paint, new properties, and of course a mullet hairstyle that would have Joe Dirt giddy with excitement.
For good measure, Rockstar included a bunch of unrelated new features, updates, and bug fixes. for example, your car will no longer disappear if left at the start of a GTA race, and the exploit that allowed players to go off-radar (off the grid, so to speak) has been patched.
Unfortunately, this limited time content will probably be gone by the time GTA V ships to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One (scheduled for this fall). However, if you're rocking a previous generation console and own the game, you can download the patch right now.
