Razer Phone Now Available in Limited Gold Edition Celebrating Spring Festival
The other addition is that the Gold Edition Razer Phone ships in a red-sleeved box that is adorned with gold foiling. While Razer is primarily targeting this release at the Chinese market, the company's U.S. store will also carry the smartphone "while supplies last".
While flagship smartphone fans may be disappointed that there aren't any additional distinguishing features with the Gold Edition Razer Phone, it's not exactly a slouch in any particular area. The Razer Phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and features 8GB of RAM, because well, why not? The smartphone has 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via a microSD slot.
The showcase of the Razer Phone, however, is its 5.7-inch IGZO (manufactured by Sharp) display with a resolution of 2560x1440 and a class-leading 120Hz refresh rate. It also packs in Ultramotion adaptive refresh technology which is similar in concept to G-SYNC and FreeSync. Other features included on the phone are Dolby ATMOS audio, THX Certification, dual 12MP rear cameras, an 8MP selfie camera, and a massive 4,000mAh battery with QuickCharge 4+ support.
The Gold Edition Razer Phone -- like its standard counterpart -- is priced at $699.
