Razer has announced a new variant of its flagship Android smartphone in order to celebrate the Chinese New Year/Spring Festival. Unfortunately, there isn't much "new" here, as the Gold Edition Razer Phone, which commemorates The Year of the Dog, simply swaps out its silver-trimmed triple-headed snake logo on the back for gold. The other addition is that the Gold Edition Razer Phone ships in a red-sleeved box that is adorned with gold foiling. While Razer is primarily targeting this release at the Chinese market, the company's U.S. store will also carry the smartphone "while supplies last".
