Razer Offers Hot $300 Discount On Its Gaming-Centric Razer Phone

We must wonder if Razer has realized the err of its ways after announcing in the Razer Phone 2 was in the works at its investor's conference. Anytime fans know something refreshed is coming soon, they tend to avoid the current version as they wait for the new hotness to show up. Razer has come up with a method to encourage smartphone shoppers to pick up the original Razer Phone, and that method is a smoking hot discount.

Right now, you can get the Razer Phone directly from Razer, and when you check using the discount code WOOHOO, you can get $300 off. That brings the $699 device down to $399 making it near half off. For the money, you get a lot of phone with impressive specs like a fancy 120Hz UltraMotion screen supporting Netflix HDR and Dolby Digital Plus 5.1.

The audio system is both Dolby Atmos and THX certified, and the smartphone rocks dual front-firing speakers. Power comes from a beefy 4,000 mAh internal battery. The Razer Phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with 8GB of RAM and has 64GB of internal storage. When you fill up that internal storage with games and apps, you can expand it with up to 2TB microSD cards.

Earlier today alleged benchmarks of the Razer Phone 2 turned up, and with this big discount on the original device it's looking like the new phone might launch relatively soon. Those leaked benchmarks show a single core score of 2026 and a multi-core score of 8234 on Geekbench. However, we take all leaked benchmarks with a grain of salt around these parts.
