As an added bonus, those that pre-order the Oculus Rift will be treated to a free copy of EVE: Valkyrie. Those two titles will be joined by a few dozen AAA titles, and the list of supported games is expected to swell to over 100 by the end of 2016.

You’ll need pretty stout system to take advantage of the Oculus Rift, and if you an afford to plunk down $600 for a peripheral, we have the feeling that this won’t be a problem at all for more. The recommended specs are as follows:

  • NVIDIA GTX 970 / AMD R9 290 equivalent or greater
  • Intel i5-4590 equivalent or greater
  • 8GB+ RAM
  • Compatible HDMI 1.3 video output
  • 3x USB 3.0 ports plus 1x USB 2.0 port
  • Windows 7 SP1 64 bit or newer

“This is just the beginning. We can’t wait to share more about the incredible games and experiences coming to Rift this year,” said the Oculus Team in a blog post. “Touch will ship in the second half of the year and will unlock entirely new interactions that let people take their VR experiences further than ever before.”

The Oculus Rift will begin shipping to pre-order customers in 20 countries starting March 28th.
