Play Nintendo’s Switch Console During U.S. Six-City Tour Ahead Of March Launch
The Nintendo Switch preview tour will hit some the biggest metropolitan areas in the country including:
- New York – January 13-15th
- Toronto – January 27-29th
- Washington, D.C. – February 10-12th
- Chicago – February 17-19th
- San Francisco – February 24-26th
- Los Angeles – March 3-5th
There are some caveats, however, to these preview tour dates. For starters, the first two days at each event will be invite-only -- we’re assuming those dates will be open to press and Nintendo VIPs. The third day is set aside for the gaming public, so be prepared to throw some elbows to get your place in line.
“Space is very limited, however, and fans will be let in on a first-come, first-served basis,” Nintendo explains. “Early arrival is highly recommended.” That sounds like the same kind of advice that we give to gamers looking to score an NES Classic Edition at brick and mortar retail locations this holiday season, but we digress.
“The interactive and engaging tour will let people of all ages experience Nintendo Switch for the first time and play select launch games in very original and surprising settings,” Nintendo continues. “Each of these unique areas will highlight the different ways Nintendo Switch can be played.”
In addition to the preview tour, the Nintendo Switch will also be on display at PAX South in San Antonio which runs January 27th through 29th and PAX East in Boston March 10th through 12th. The Nintendo Switch and launch games will also have a prime spot at SXSW in Austin from March 16th through 18th.
