Nokia Unveils Thinner, Lighter, Aluminum Lumia 925 Smartphone
Nokia says the Lumia 925 is a new interpretation of the popular 920. In addition to a metal body, it also features "the most advanced lens technology and next generation imaging software" that, among other things, promises exceptional low-light performance.
"The Nokia Lumia 925 also introduces the new Nokia Smart Camera mode, coming as an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones," Nokia said. "Nokia Smart Camera offers an easy way to capture ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot, and Motion Focus for creating the perfect high quality image."
As for the specs, the Lumia 925 boasts a 4.5-inch AMOLED WXGA (1280x768) touchscreen display with Gorilla Glass 2, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage (flanked by 7GB of free SkyDrive clould storage), 8.7MP front-facing PureView camera with optical image stabilization, 2,000mAh battery, and of course Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 software. Vodafone customers will also have exclusive access to a 32GB version, Nokia says.
The Lumia 925 will be introduced into the U.S. by T-Mobile next month. Pricing has not yet been announced.
