Best Buy is taking pre-orders right now with a black or white version offered; official availability is set for November 9 online and November 11 in stores. One draw for this smartphone will be the price; in a world of over $1,000 flagship smartphones a decent mid-range device for $399 looks like a bargain. The significant feature of this device is Android One meaning that Motorola has left Android alone with no custom overlay on top of Android to slow down updates for the device.
Specifications for the Motorola One include a 5.9-inch LCD with 720 x 1520 resolution, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. Power is from a 3,000 mAh internal battery; the two rear cameras boast 13MP and 2MP resolution and the front camera is an 8MP unit. Storage is expandable via memory cards, and the smartphone does have a 3.5mm headphone port and rear fingerprint scanner.
