Microsoft’s ’12 Days of Deals’ Ends With $49.90 12-Month Xbox Music Pass

Microsoft’s “12 Days of Deals” promotion has given us plenty of great buys during the month of December, but all good things must come to an end. Rather than give us another discount on hardware, like the majority of the deals in the promotion, Microsoft’s final offering is 50 percent off a 12-month subscription to Xbox Music Pass.

Under Microsoft’s daily promotion, the Xbox Music Pass drops from $99.90 to just $49.90.

Xbox Music Pass gives you access to over 30 million songs, which you can stream from a multitude of devices including Windows 8 PCs and Windows Phone devices. Even rival platforms like iOS and Android can get on the action with Xbox Music Pass.

Microsoft ticked off a lot of users in October when it announced the end of free streaming for Xbox Music, instead pushing customers towards Xbox Music Pass. At the time, Microsoft explained the move, stating, “We are focusing Xbox Music to deliver the ultimate music purchase and subscription service experience for our customers.”

Microsoft attempted to partially make amends with customers by offering two separate promotions that offered 100 albums for free to anyone with a Windows 8 or Windows Phone device.
