Logitech’s G502 Lightspeed Is A Wireless Update To A Legendary Gaming Mouse

In February 2019, Logitech revived one if its iconic MX518 gaming mouse with modern internals. Logitech has announced a new gaming mouse that will slip into the line alongside the MX518 called the G502 Lightspeed. The G502 Lightspeed combines professional-grade precision and performance technology in a classic design Logitech reckons fans will love.

This latest version of the G502 Lightspeed was re-engineered from the ground up while keeping the shape and features of the original. Logitech integrated its new Lightspeed and Powerplay wireless technologies. The new G502 Lightspeed is seven grams lighter than the original; to shed that weight Logitech used a thin-wall design and endoskeleton chassis.

The mouse uses a 16K HERO (High Efficiency Rated Optical) sensor that racks at 400+ IPS with no acceleration, filtering, or smoothing. Gamers worried that the weight reduction might make the mouse uncomfortable for them need not worry, the weight can be customized with four 2g weights and a pair of 4g weights.

Textured rubber side grips give improved grip, and the mouse uses a right-handed design. The design offers 11 programmable buttons that can be bound to macros or actions. Logitech also fits the mouse with a dual-mode hyper-fast scroll wheel. The mouse will be available globally this month with an MSRP of $149.99.
