Lenovo Launches New Creator Series Laptops, Desktops With 10th Gen Intel Core CPUs
Lenovo is unveiling a bunch of new items at CES 2020 that all slot into the Creator series that includes desktop computers, laptops, and displays. The desktop computer is the IdeaCentre Creator 5, and it is meant to be a workhorse multipurpose desktop PC for home office or family use. The machine runs Windows 10 Home and has a new UI called Lenovo Vantage.
The machine is ISV certified and has a special thermal design that makes minimal noise. The machine can be fitted with up to 10th gen Intel Core i9 processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics. RAM can be configured up to 32GB, and the machine has up to a 2TB HDD and up to a 1TB SSD. Lenovo is announcing this desktop a long way from its launch date of October 2020, when it will have a price starting at $1,099.99.
On the display front, Lenovo has the Lenovo Creator 27 set to launch in March 2020 at $899.99. It is a 27-inch screen with 4K UHD IPS panel and supports AMD Radeon FreeSync. It is factory calibrated with 98% DCI-P3 and 10-bit color output. One of the key design features is the 4-side NearEdgless bezels, and it is a one-cable solution via USB-C. It does have a single HDMI port, DP 1.2, and a pair of USB 3.0 type-A ports and supports Qi charging with an embedded wireless charging pad in the base.
Lenovo's other display is the Q27h shipping in April for $349.99. It's a 27-inch QHD IPS display with 99% sRGB color gamut and a 75Hz refresh rate. It also has the 4-sided NearEdgeless bezel. Dual 3-watt speakers are built-in, and the monitor has USB-C connectivity for data, audio, video, and power. It is also Radeon FreeSync compatible. It also has an HDMI port, DP 1.2, and dual USB 3.0 ports.
The first of the laptops is the Lenovo Yoga Creator 7 that can be fitted with up to 10th gen Intel Core i7 processors. It's a premium laptop available in a slick dark moss color. It has a 15.6-inch full HD glass display with 100% sRGB color gamut that is an option. It uses the latest NVIDIA GPUs and a Dolby Atmos Speaker System. It has an integrated Windows Hello camera and weighs in at 4.18 pounds and is 0.64-inches thick. It has optional WiFi 6 and up to 13 hours of battery life. Rapid Charge gets it to 80% charge in one hour. It won't be available in North America.
The IdeaPad Creator 5 also has up to 10th gen Core i7 processors and a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS screen with 100% AdobeRGB gamut. The laptop weighs 4.85 pounds and has Alexa on board and up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It, however, won't be available in North America.
In other Lenovo news, the company refreshed its ThinkPad X1 Carbon and Yoga notebooks as well.
