Intel Launches Software Partner Program, Invites ISVs To Access Global Reseller Network

Worldwide Program Provides Business, Technical and Marketing Benefits at Key Phases of Software Development and Marketing

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Oct. 23, 2006 - Intel Corporation today announced the formation of the Intel Software Partner Program, a membership-based program for independent software vendors (ISVs). The program is open to any software company developing commercial products or services for Intel technologies, such as Intel Core 2 Duo, Intel Xeon and Intel Itanium processors. The Intel Software Partner Program offers a portfolio of planning, technical, marketing and sales resources designed to facilitate a member's ability to grow business, reach new customers and stay on top of the latest software development, marketing and competitive trends.

The Intel Software Partner Program allows members to align their product development work directly with Intel's platform technologies as well as with a specific market segment area such as gaming or digital media creation. Intel provides a flexible path for an ISV to develop targeted applications for specific vertical market segments and planning tools to give the partner insight to market opportunities. Members also have the option to choose their level of interaction with Intel and can tailor their program engagement based on their own business objectives.  READ MORE...

Marco Chiappetta

Marco's interest in computing and technology dates all the way back to his early childhood. Even before being exposed to the Commodore P.E.T. and later the Commodore 64 in the early ‘80s, he was interested in electricity and electronics, and he still has the modded AFX cars and shop-worn soldering irons to prove it. Once he got his hands on his own Commodore 64, however, computing became Marco's passion. Throughout his academic and professional lives, Marco has worked with virtually every major platform from the TRS-80 and Amiga, to today's high end, multi-core servers. Over the years, he has worked in many fields related to technology and computing, including system design, assembly and sales, professional quality assurance testing, and technical writing. In addition to being the Managing Editor here at HotHardware for close to 15 years, Marco is also a freelance writer whose work has been published in a number of PC and technology related print publications and he is a regular fixture on HotHardware’s own Two and a Half Geeks webcast. - Contact: marco(at)hothardware(dot)com
