If you were a bit disappointed by the specs of the
HTC U Ultra that was released earlier this year, the Taiwanese company is looking to grab your attention with the new
HTC U11. Not only have full specs for the device leaked to the internet, but there is also a hands-on video that shows the smartphone in all its glory.
When it comes down to brass tacks, the HTC U11 includes everything that most of us were expecting would arrive with the HTC Ultra. The leaked specs are as follows:
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM (6GB RAM for Chinese market)
- 64GB internal storage (128GB for Chinese market)
- microSD expansion up to 2TB
- 5.5-inch QHD display covered in Gorilla Glass 5 (534 ppi)
- 12.2MP rear camera (f/1.7) with Sony IMX362 image sensor and dual tone LED flash
- 15.8MP selfie camera (f/2.0)
- 802.11ac Wi-Fi
- Bluetooth 4.2
- NFC
- USB 3.1 Type-C connector
- 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology
In addition to these specs, the HTC U11 will feature what the company calls “Edge Sense” technology. The above leaked video shows a settings option that allows you to control the level of force that is registered when you squeeze the smartphone’s frame. The video also shows the user taking a selfie by simply squeezing the smartphone, which is a nice touch.
We should also note that the HTC U11 will be running Android 7.1 with the Sense UI layered on top. It will be available in Red, White, Blue, Black and Silver when it is officially unveiled tomorrow.
