HP Minds Its Business With Refreshed 'Elite' Notebooks, Desktops and All-in-Ones
Hewlett-Packard today announced a top-to-bottom revamp of its Elite product family, and no stone has been left unturned. The company has refreshed its notebooks, desktops, and all-in-one machines with sleek exteriors, potent AMD APUs and Intel Skylake power under the hood, and Microsoft’s Windows 10 operating system.
Starting off with the notebooks, it’s hard not to be impressed by the EliteBook 705 G3 series, which is available in 12.5-inch, 14-inch and 15.6-inch form-factors. Given the wide range of screen sizes available, you shouldn’t be too surprised to learn that available screen resolutions include HD, FHD and QHD options.

The machines are powered by up to a powerful AMD Pro A12 APU, which features integrated Radeon R7 graphics. Entry-level models, however, come with either an AMD Pro A8-8600B or AMD Pro A10-8700B APU paired with Radeon R6 graphics. You’ll also find the HP Premium Keyboard, docking support, full-size DisplayPort, GbE jacks, Bang & Olufsen audio, USB-C ports, and an external SIM slot to accommodate optional WWAN connectivity.
HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Mini PC
The desktop range is littered with options including the EliteDesk 705 G2 and 800 G2 Desktop Minis which pack quite a bit of power into diminutive frames. The computers can be attached directly to HP’s EliteDisplays using an optional mounting bracket to save space on your desk. The EliteDesk 702 series features AMD APUs and Radeon graphics, while the EliteDesk 800 series ups the ante with Intel Skylake processors. If that isn’t enough, there is also the updated EliteDesk 705 and 800 G2 Small Form Factors, EliteDesk 705 G2 Micro Tower and HP EliteDesk 800 G2 Tower.
HP EliteOne 800 G2 All-in-One
HP couldn’t update its notebooks and desktops without also turning some attention of its all-in-one offerings. As a result, the company has redesigned its HP EliteOne 705 and 800 G2 AiOs to include built-in cable management along with optional Tri-Mode Wireless Phone Charging. Qi, PMA, and A4WP wireless charging standards are supported, which means that it should be able to accommodate just about any Android or Windows Phone device that supports wireless charging.
The EliteBook 705 G3 series, EliteOne 705 G2 AIO, EliteOne 800 G2 AIO, EliteDesk 705 Desktop Mini, and HP EliteDesk 800 Series series start at $749 $849, $1,199, $499 and $699 respectively.
