HP Joins Mini Notebook Craze
While the Eee PC didn't start the whole UMPC/Mini Notebook niche, it certainly kickstarted it, and now everyone wants in. Including HP, who is bypassing the 7” model at this time and looking to meet the forthcoming 8.9” Eee PC head on. Here's what specs we're expecting the forthcoming HP Compaq 2113:
“...a big, scratch resistant 8.9-inch 1366 x 766 (WXGA) display, ExpressCard/54 slot, Wireless LAN, nearly full-sized QWERTY (95% of full), integrated webcam, and optional SSD in a 2.5-pound anodized aluminum sex pot running Vista or Linux.”
We're not sure what kind of CPU or memory this machine will be packing at this time, but we'll be sure to pass along more info as we get it.
