Have We Come To This? Microsoft's Elop Reportedly Shows Off 'Selfie Phone'
According to The Verge, Microsoft devices CEO Stephen Elop recently showed off a couple of upcoming handsets during an internal company meeting. One of those was the selfie phone, previously known by its codename Superman, which sports a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 4.7-inch display, and of course Windows Phone 8.1 software.
The obvious upshot to having a high quality front-facing camera is that users can more easily snap photos of themselves, whether they're alone or with a group. Alternately, users have to flip the phone around and try to take photos using the rear camera, and in the spur of the moment, you're likely to lose the shot.
Microsoft's second smartphone is called Tesla. It's described as an "affordable high-end phone" with a PureView camera. It's expected to replace the Nokia Lumia 720.
