Google Pixel 4 Android 10 Flagship Allegedly Leaks In These Hands-On Photos
In keeping with the renders that Google itself provided a few months ago, it appears that the back of the device no longer has a two-tone look (which has been a Pixel design hallmark) and instead goes with a monochromatic (glossy black) finish. We also get a look at the raised camera pod on the back, but most of the details here are obscured due to a piece of tape placed over it.
Moving along to the front of the device, we're getting further confirmation of a rather small bezel at the bottom of the display and a larger bezel above the display. This is a shift from the Pixel 3 XL, which featured a big notch that wasn't universally loved by Android fans. We can see the earpiece speaker and bevy of sensors including hardware for Face Unlock (similar in concept to Apple's Face ID) and Project Soli gesture tech.
The Google Pixel 4 family is widely expected to be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 SoC (we're not so sure that Google would opt for the more potent Snapdragon 855+) along with 6GB of RAM. According to previous reports, the standard Pixel 4 will have a 5.7-inch AMOLED display (Full HD+), while the Pixel 4 XL will measure in at 6.3 inches (QHD+). It's also said that both displays will feature a 90Hz refresh rate, which would put it on equal footing with OnePlus 7 Pro.
It's rumored that 64GB and 128GB capacities will be available, although we wouldn't be too surprised to see a 256GB SKU given the lack of microSD slot for expansion and falling NAND prices. When it comes to power, the Pixel 4 will have a 2800 mAh battery, while the Pixel 4 XL is rumored to boast a more capacious 3700 mAh battery.
We're expecting the Pixel 4 family to launch sometime in October.
