Get Your Copy Of EA's Need For Speed Most Wanted 'On The House’ With Latest Origin Promotion
Consumers love freebies. Whether it’s buy one, get one free or just straight up free without any strings attached, people will often flock to a free offer. Such has been the case with Windows 10, which is being offered for free to Windows 7 and Windows 8 users. Origin also understands the value of “free”, as it is giving away yet another game via its “On The House” promotion.
The latest game to be given away for free is Need for Speed Most Wanted. The open world racing game isn’t exactly hot stuff anymore, as it was first released in October 2012, which seems like ages ago in the PC world.
“Hit jumps and shortcuts, switch cars, lie low or head for terrain that plays to your vehicle’s unique strengths,” writes Electronic Arts about the Criterion Games-developed title. “Hit the gas and fight your way past cops and rivals using pure driving skill, aggression, high-end car tech and tons of nitrous. It’s all about you, your friends and the wildest selection of cars in a heavily policed, urban landscape.”
We should also note that while critics had somewhat favorable review of the game (it holds a 78 percent rating over at Metacritic), actual gamers have given the game a less enthusiast User Score of 4.5 out of 10.
If you’re at all interested in Need for Speed Most Wanted, we suggest that you go ahead and download it as soon as possible. The game might be free to download and play, but Origin says that the offer is “available for a limited time only.” We have no idea when Origin plans to pull the plug, so it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Need for Speed Most Wanted is just the latest in a string of “On The House” offerings which in the past have included Battlefield 3, Dead Space and Command & Conquer Red Alert 2.
