Forza Motorsport 7 Goes Gold, Demo Arrives September 19th For Xbox One And PC

If you've been waiting patiently for the arrival of Forza Motorsport 7, you'll be glad to hear that the game has gone gold. That means that the game has been finalized and is be prepped for packaging for those of you that still prefer to purchase physical game discs.

While news of "gold" status for Forza Motorsport 7 is exciting enough, Microsoft also announced that a demo version of the game is less than two weeks away. Starting on September 19th, you'll be able to download a playable demo that will allow you to take control of the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (a car that Porsche introduced to the world at E3) as you blast around the new Dubai circuit. You'll also be able to take the wheel of a Nissan NISMO GT-R LM at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit or take your chances in a Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck around Italy's Mugello circuit.

The demo will be available for both Xbox One and PC, with the latter group gaining the ability to adjust performance settings to match the abilities of their gaming rig.

To celebrate the going gold and the upcoming demo, there's also a new commercial for Forza Motorsport 7 called "Musical Cars". It involves a car-themed game of musical chairs with automotive stalwarts Adam Corolla and Ken Block. Some of the cars featured in the trailer include the Pagani Huarya, Porsche Cayman GT4, and the classic Plymouth Barracuda.

Forza Motorsport 7 makes its global debut on October 3rd for PC and Xbox One. However, those who have already purchased the Ultimate Edition will be able to hit the [digital] racetrack on September 29th.
