EA launched a game subscription service back in 2014 for the Xbox One called EA Access. PS4 players at the time felt left out, but fast-forward to 2019, and EA has now announced that PS4 gamers can get in on the EA Access service starting in July. PS4 gamers will pay the same $4.99 monthly subscription fee or an $29.99 annual subscription fee for access.

EA's Matt Bilbey, Executive VP and Strategic Growth says that EA's goal is to give players more chance to try and play EA games whenever and wherever they want. Other than getting access to all sorts of popular EA games for that monthly or yearly fee, subscribers also get additional perks.

EA Access also allows gamers to enjoy Play First Trials enabling them to play up to ten hours of most new EA games. Subscribers can also get 10% off full game purchases, expansions, and in-game items. The library of games that are playable via the service is growing and include titles like Battlefield, EA Sports FIFA and Madden NFL, Star Wars Battlefront, Anthem, and more. EA hasn't announced the exact launch date for the PS4 service in July.

"As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing great games to even more players across more platforms is an exciting opportunity for everyone," said Matt Bilbey, Executive VP of Strategic Growth. "Our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose, and we're happy to bring EA Access to PlayStation 4."
