Destiny 2 Beta Lands On PC August 28, Minimum System Requirements Revealed
"All told, this was the biggest Bungie beta ever, and we’re not even done running eager test subjects through the obstacle course," Bungie stated in a blog post. "We learned a lot about how we can improve the launch of Destiny 2—on consoles, at least. There will come a time for a public analysis of our findings. Before we dare take a victory lap or share statistics for how many shots were fired in the new version of Control, we have preparations to make for the final phase of pre-launch sparring."
The Destiny 2 beta will open up in Early Access form on PC August 28. Anyone who pre-ordered the game will be eligible to jump in and play. Bungie will then open the beta up to everyone else the next day before wrapping things up on August 31. In preparation for the upcoming beta period, Bungie has announced both minimum and recommended specs so you can make sure you are ready to participate.
Minimum Specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
- RAM: 6GB

Bungie has also been demonstrating Destiny 2 maintaining 60 frames per second at 4K during multiple events. If you are looking to replicate those results, Bungie said it equipped those burly systems with an Intel Core i7-7700K and GeForce GTX 1080 Ti graphics card. That is over a grand in hardware for the CPU and GPU.
Destiny 2 will launch in full for PC on October 24. Console gamers will get first dibs, with Destiny 2 launching to Xbox One and PS4 more than a month earlier on September 6.
