Here Are Borderlands 3 PC Spec Requirements In Detail

Borderlands 3
The insanity that is Borderlands 3 is coming in just a few weeks, and it promises to deliver plenty of mayhem. What is not insane, however, is the type of PC you will need to play Borderlands 3. We now have a set of minimum and recommended requirements, and if you own a relatively modern PC, playing at 1080p or even 1440p will be doable.

Borderlands 3 is not just releasing to PC, of course—it's also coming out on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will be a Google Stadia title as well. As far as Windows PCs are concerned, however, here are the minimum and recommended specs...

Minimum Specs (1080p)

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
  • CPU: AMD FX-8350 (Intel i5-3570)
  • RAM: 6GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon HD 7970 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB)
  • HDD: 75GB
There's nothing that is real demanding there. Anyone who owns a relatively modern PC with a discrete GPU should be able to play Borderlands 3 at 1080p. But what 1440p? Let's have a look...

Recommended Specs (1440p)

  • OS: Windows 7/8/10 (latest service pack)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 (Intel i7-4770)
  • RAM: 16GB
  • GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590 (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB)
  • HDD: 75GB
The specs kick up a notch in order to play at 1440. There's still nothing crazy listed, but if you own an aging PC, playing at 1440p may prove difficult.

Gearbox Software also shared what graphics settings will be available in Borderlands 3. The developer says the game will "look fantastic" on all platforms, but PC players will be able jump into the settings and customize things a bit.

"All you PC players out there can fine-tune the visuals even further via Borderlands 3's extensive graphics settings, letting you perfectly match the visual fidelity to your personal preferences and the power of your rig," Gearbox Software says.
