Best Buy to Sell a Toshiba Ultrabook for 800 Smackers

Intel's Ultrabook concept is having a tough time winning over customers, not because people aren't interested in a thin and light notebook that's both powerful and attractive (the MacBook Air proves otherwise), but because of the price. Many of the early models are hovering around the $1,000 price ceiling Intel said it would like manufacturers to stay under, and some have even gone over. Toshiba's 13.3-inch Portégé, on the other hand, will be much cheaper.

A full $200 cheaper, to be exact. Best Buy has a listing for Toshiba's $800 Ultrabook model with free shipping, and even after paying sales tax, you're still looking at an Ultrabook that's around $850. Pretty reasonable, but how does the spec sheet look? Good question, and here's your answer:
  • 13.3-inch LED backlight TFT screen with TruBright technology (1366x768 resolution)
  • Intel Core i3 2367M processor (1.4GHz, 3MB L3 cache)
  • Intel HD graphics
  • 4GB of DDR3 memory (expandable to 6GB)
  • 128GB solid state drive
  • Built-in webcam
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and GbE LAn
  • Multi-format media card reader
  • 2x USB 2.0 ports; 1x USB 3.0Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

Toshiba's upcoming Portégé also includes an 8-cell lithium ion battery and weighs 2.5 pounds, according to its product page on Best Buy's website. No word on when it be available, other than "coming soon."
