Microsoft Surface Go Best Buy Pre-Order Deals Include $50 Gift Card

Anyone who was intrigued by the slick little 10-inch Surface Go that Microsoft unveiled early this month, and has been on the fence about pre-ordering one, a new Best Buy pre-order deal might put you over the top. Best Buy is offering a pre-order special for the Surface Go, tossing in some gift cards and free stuff that should make Microsoft's new tablet an even sweeter deal.

The big give here is a $50 Best Buy E-gift card that is delivered via email. Once you pre-order the Surface Go and pick it up in the store or have it delivered to your home, Best Buy will confirm fulfillment and the gift card will be emailed out to you. You could use it to pay for half of the slick Surface Pen that works with the little tablet, or knock a chunk off the price of one of the keyboard accessories. Both of those are items that most Surface Go buyers will want to accompany the new Microsoft tablet hyrid convertible.

The second item that you get for free is a Trend Micro three-device six-month Internet Security subscription, to keep your shiny new Windows 10 tablet from virus infection. The same $50 gift card and Tend Micro subscription is offered on the base $399 tablet and the upgraded $549 tablet.

That 10-inch display has 3:2 aspect ratio and a native resolution of 1800 x 1200. It rocks a very similar design to the much costlier Surface Pro with a magnesium chassis and a kickstand for propping the screen up.

Both versions of the Surface Go share the same base features, with an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor with dual cores supporting four-threads. The difference in price points comes in RAM and storage. The $399 tablet offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage while the $549 tablet has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. For now, the tablets only come with WiFi, but an LTE version is coming later this year. The accessories are an additional cost just as they are on the Surface Pro.
