Ready for yet another Android superphone? It's here, and it's on AT&T. Sony's first 4G LTE smartphone is the Xperia Ion, and it's in stores and available to order online today for $99.99 on a two-year contract. That's actually on the low end of the pricing scale for
LTE phones, and the Ion is certainly one of the more handsome devices to ship on AT&T airwaves. It offers up a 4.6" HD "Reality" 720p display, HDMI output, a 12-megapixel camera, and access to the
Sony Entertainment Network.
There's also DLNA media streaming, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 16GB of internal memory (with a microSD expansion slot).
The last LTE smartphone to ship on AT&T for $99.99? Nokia's Lumia 900. Any guesses as to which one sells more?
