ASUS VivoTab Note 8 Goes Up For Pre-Order Today, In Stores March 23rd
Part of what makes the VivoTab Note 8 an intriguing device is its price tag. Pricing starts at $329 for the 32GB model, which includes not only the tablet itself, but also a Wacom digitizer stylus and Microsoft Office Home and Student (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote). Not bad, especially considering this tablet rocks a full version of Windows 8.1 and not Windows RT.
In case you need a refresher or if this is the first time you're hearing about the VivoTab Note 8, it features an 8-inch LED backlit IPS multi-touch display (1280x800), an Intel Atom Z3740 quad-core processor clocked at 1.86GHz, 2GB of LPDDR3 memory, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, 802.11n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 1.26MP front-facing camera, 5MP rear-facing camera, stereo speakers, micro USB port, audio jack (headphone, mic combo), microSD card reader, and a 15.5W battery.
ASUS says the VivoTab Note 8 will be available to pre-order today at Amazon, Newegg, and TigerDirect for $329 (32GB) or $369 (64GB), followed by a roll out in stores on March 23rd (a week from this Sunday).
