ASUS Launches $3,117 ROG NUC 16 With RTX 5070 Ti And 32GB RAM

If you're looking for a small form factor gaming PC and want more performance than devices like the Steam Machine can offer, look no further than the recently launched ASUS ROG NUC 16. This diminutive device packs some serious hardware in its 3-liter chassis, but prepare to pay a pretty penny for it.

The ASUS ROG NUC 16 is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX that has 24 cores in total, including eight performance cores and 16 efficiency cores. Its beefy CPU is accompanied by a generous 32GB of DDR5-6400 RAM, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti mobile GPU with 12GB of GDDR7 memory, and 1TB of NVMe storage. The system can be upgraded to a maximum of 64GB of RAM and 4TB of storage for those who need it.

The backside of the machine has a smorgasbord of ports, including a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C port that supports DisplayPort 2.1, four USB 3.2 Gen 2 USB-A ports, two HDMI 2.1 ports, two DisplayPort 2.1 ports and one 2.5 Gigabit Realtek RTL8125D ethernet jack. The front of the box offers connectivity, too, with two 3.2 Gen 2 USB-A ports, one 3.2 Gen 2 USB-C port and one 3.5mm combo audio jack conveniently located for gaming headsets.

The ROG NUC 16 is also outfitted with an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750x that provides 2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz connectivity with speeds rated up to 5.8 Gbps. It also includes Bluetooth 5.4, which should mean a solid and reliable connection with Bluetooth enabled accessories and devices.
