ASUS’ CES-Bound ZenFone Can ‘See What Others Can’t See’
ASUS has posted a cryptic teaser for its newest ZenFone, which will debut at CES 2015 in Las Vegas next month. The headlining feature of the new ZenFone, and the dominant focus of the teaser video, is what appears to be a dual-LED flash setup.
Some have indicated that the new ZenFone will instead feature a dual-lens setup, but we’re only seeing a single-lens here with what looks to be dual-flash module directly above. More evidence that leads us to the dual-LED flash route is that a bright “flash” comes from the area above the camera lens at the 35-second mark in the teaser video.
ASUS goes on to deliver the tagline, “See what others can’t see.”
There’s not much else to see from the video other than a vertically stacked button arrangement beneath the camera lens. If a dual-flash setup is all that ASUS has in store for us as, we’ll definitely be disappointed.
Unfortunately, given the teaser nature of this video, we have nothing to go on with rewards to specs on the latest ZenFone. There’s no word on screen size or what processor will power the new smartphone; but rest assured that it has better be running Android 5.0 Lollipop or we’ll surely have to give ASUS the stink eye.
The next ZenFone will be unveiled on January 5 during a livestream event.
