ASUS Announces Strix Scope Gaming Keyboard And ZenBook S13 Ultraportable Laptop Availability
The ASUS ZenBook S13 (UX392) incorporates an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce MX150, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB PCIe x4 SSD. Although the device is small, it still features a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A port, two USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports, and a microSD card reader. The device includes 50Wh lithium-polymer battery and can last up to 15 hours on a single charge.
ASUS boasts that the device features a 13.9 inch (roughly 353.06 mm) LED-backlit IPS FHD screen and features a 97% screen-to-body ratio. All of its components have been squeezed into a 5.07 inch (12.9 mm) thin CNC-milled chassis. The device weighs 2.4 pounds and is touted as “seriously portable”.

ASUS ROG has also released the Strix Scope mechanical keyboard. The device features an enlarged Xccurate Ctrl key, Quick-Toggles switches, and a “One-Touch Stealth key” that quickly hides all of a user’s apps and mutes their audio. It also includes N-Key rollover with anti-ghosting, 1000HZ polling, and support for Windows 7 and Windows 10. The mechanical keyboard measures roughly 17.32 X 5.39 X 1.54 inches (440 x 137 x 39mm) and weighs 2.36 pounds (1,070 grams).
The Strix Scope incorporates Cherry MX RGB switches that “deliver the precise mechanical feel preferred by gamers and enthusiasts”. Users can configure their keyboard with Cherry MX Red, Brown, Blue, Black, Silent Red, and Speed Silver switches. The switches vary slightly in size and actuation force. Users can also switch out the black WASD keys for silver-colored caps.

No modern ASUS ROG device would be complete without lighting options. The device includes per-key ASUS Aura RGB LEDs, Aura Sync compatibility, and an illuminated logo. Users can also create up to six different illumination profiles.
The ASUS ZenBook S13 is priced similarly to comparable devices. The version with 8GB memory is available for $1,399 USD at major retailers, while the 16GB version is available for $1,499. There is currently no pricing for Strix Scope mechanical keyboard and it has not yet been listed by major retailers. It is unclear when it will be available.

ASUS has announced several products over the last few weeks. It recently debuted the ProArt PA32UCX And PQ22UC 4K HDR monitors with Dolby Vision support, which are meant to provide “ultravivid picture quality.” There is currently no pricing information or release date for these products either.
