Samsung Galaxy Note 9 512GB Killer Deal Adds Free Gear S3 Smartwatch At Amazon

Just over a week ago, Amazon was running a pretty enticing deal on the Galaxy Note 9 where it discounted the 128GB model by $70 and included the Gear IconX Bluetooth earbuds and a Samsung Qi wireless charger for free. Today, Amazon is offering an even sweeter deal on the 512GB version of the Galaxy Note 9.

The range-topping version of the Galaxy Note 9 typically sells for $1,249, and that's no different today with the Amazon's current promotion. However, the company is throwing in a free Galaxy S3 Frontier smartwatch with the deal. Sure, it's not the fancy new Galaxy Watch (which we reviewed here), but the Gear S3 is Samsung's 2017 flagship smartwatch and it's still a compelling piece of hardware that looks great (especially if you're into round AMOLED displays).

It should also be mentioned that if you take advantage of Amazon's current promotional offer on the Galaxy Note 9 512GB, you can also go through Samsung's new double value trade-in upgrade program that gives you up to $600 back if you fork over your current flagship smartphone. If you trade in an iPhone X, iPhone 8 Plus or Galaxy S9+, you can get back $600. Trading in an iPhone 8 will fetch $550. The prices start scaling back from there for other eligible trade-in drives (see the chart below).

To participate in Samsung's trade-in program, you will first have to purchase the Galaxy Note 9 on Amazon, complete the application process online via Samsung's trade-in website, and mail in your old phone. If your device is deemed eligible, you'll receive a Visa Virtual Reward loaded with the trade-in value within about 30 days.

We reviewed the Galaxy Note 9 here on HotHardware and found it to be an excellent flagship phone with excellent performance across the board -- thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor -- and stellar battery life. As has come to be expected with Samsung's flagships, the dual-camera setup on the rear produces amazing photos and the revised S Pen really adds to the "big screen" experience, especially when it comes to productivity. And we of course can't forget about the 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, which is still a high watermark for smartphone displays.
