Amazon Black Friday Hot Tech Deals Deliver Digital Delight

If you're out in the cold putting up with aggressive drivers and rabid shoppers who wouldn't think twice about trampling you in pursuit of a $100 savings on a high definition TV, you're doing Black Friday wrong. For some, it's become tradition, and we understand that. But for the most part, that's the antiquated model for scoring a deal. We now have this awesome thing called the Internet, which among other things, allows us to benefit from Black Friday deals from home. Yesterday we shared some of the highlights Best Buy has to offer, and today we'll give you a glimpse of the sweet savings that are just a few mouse clicks away (or finger taps) at Amazon.

To begin with, if you're need of a new e-reader or tablet, you' re in luck. Amazon has slashed the prices on its already low cost Kindle e-reader and Fire tablet line. Hit the link to go directly the landing page, where you'll find the Fire HD 6 now selling for $79 instead of 99, the Fire HD 7 for $109 instead of $139 (check out our review), and the Kindle going for a scant $49 instead of $79. There's also the Kindle Paperwhite that's been marked down to $99 from $119, and the unlocked Fire Phone for $199 off-contract (it also comes with a one-year membership to Amazon Prime, a $99 value).

HP Chromebook

Need a basic laptop? Amazon dropped the price of the HP Chromebook (Snow White) to $150. It sports an 11.6-inch HD (1366x768) display powered by a Samsung Exynos 5 processor clocked at 1.7GHz and 2GB of DDR3L RAM. It also features a 16GB SSD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, a pair of USB ports, and up to 6.25 hours of battery life.

If you're in need of something more powerful and/or less mobile, Amazon is serving up big discounts on many Dell brand laptops and desktops. For example, you can snag a Dell Inspiron 15 laptop for $270, a $60 savings over its normal price. It has a 15.6-inch HD display (1366x768), Intel Pentium quad-core N3530 processor, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, 500GB hard drive, and Windows 8.1.

SanDisk Ultra II SSD

On the storage front, there are huge discounts available on all SanDisk storage products (SSDs, SD cards, USB thumb drives), including a 240GB SSD for a mere $85, along with a 54 percent savings on a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 2TB External HDD ($78).

There are lot more products marked down, including hundreds of dollars off select Canon DSLR cameras. Hit any of the links in this post and dig around!
