Don't sweat it, your pedestrian controller is still a fine tool for gaming, and it's going to get even better when Microsoft rolls out an update that allows for remapping the button controls. Tell me if you’ve heard this one before: Microsoft has officially announced a brand new Xbox One SKU that includes a larger 1TB HDD and a new wireless controller. We already brought you news on both of these additions, but this is the first time that Microsoft has actually confirmed the new console and controller. Good news for PC gamers who have wanted to use the Xbox One’s controller on the PC. Microsoft has announced that it is releasing a wired Xbox One controller for the PC platform this November. Just in time for the holidays, the controller was designed for use with Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 PCs.  Simply connect the controller via its USB cable and it will automatically update and be ready to use. However, the wireless function is not usable for the PC platform though the controller itself can be hooked up to an Xbox One as a wireless or wired controller. A lot of work went into designing the new controller for Microsoft's upcoming Xbox One console. Though it looks similar the Xbox 360's controller, there are subtle differences that are the result of 20 research studies around the world with more than 500 participants of varying age, gender, and gaming proficiency, Microsoft says. After going through no less than 200 prototypes, Microsoft settled on a design that was "still distinctly Xbox, but refined and improved."
